Have you walked where you've never been and it felt more then just familiar... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've walked this way on hallowed ground In riches and rags I've been around I've looked in to the eyes of love, As I've watched the roses wither With chill of spin I know not how The one true rose will bloom As it has before this time, In a crescent harvest moon Each time, loving him more and more As I am as infinity, love never ends, over and over it begins My last time here in battles defeat It took me out in wounded pleat I ware the scares of gallant pride On victorious dreams I ride In this life I know that I shall heal To rejoin the world as it is sealed Am I a worrier? No say not I fought for riches I never got 'Tis peace in heart, I've not found In hollowed hills, on battle grounds Many souls have passed my way And onto the heavens, where they shall stay As I only dream of such a day, with love in arms to take my place As I turn each corner, and know I've been And ten thousand more, that I shall spend I'll see the eyes again and again For the eyes that close are not far gone they are not at rest, they have just moved on To a place like here, with just new names Yet faces and places are all the same Though some don't know just where or when If they have seen, and are back again Inside of them they know not Splendor of sorrow is what they got They are the players of stories in the poets verse They too bare the weight of this curse Time will pass as peace they seek As again in new life they meet tori 99 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If with pen in hand I've made you think I've not wasted one drop of ink vlh. |

tori you worked on this poem, didn't you? It shows. You have some wonderful similes in here. Great job. It moved so smoothly from verse to verse. |
