My beautiful baby laying there so sweet,
'wondering when you'll wake up to eat.

I'm looking at your eyes, ears, and nose,
I'm counting all ten of your fingers,
and all ten of your toes.

I'm wondering how I became so blessed,
All I can say "It's fate I guess."

With every cry, and every sigh,
I pray to god I will never say goodbye.

My beautiful boy I do have to say,
I love you more each and every day.

Soon you will grow and play with your toys,
You'll play with your friends and make lot's
of noise.

Then you'll get older and want girls and cars,
And when your twenty-one you might go to bars.

No matter what happens I'll love you the same,
Wheather you choose McDonald's, a sport, or fame.

But for now it sure is a joy,
to have such a beautiful baby boy!

what a sweet poem, be sure to save if for him...don't spoil him now *giggles*

...on a sadder note: my mother has already lost two of her sons (one was 21 the other 44)...having no kids of my own (by choice), i can't imagine the joys and/or pains of motherhood...check out my "eight short weeks" if you like

I'm glad you liked my poem. Thank-you. I am going to find eight short weeks right now. Sorry about yours and your mother's loss. I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose my baby. Even when he gets older.
