Down In The Coal Mine There once was a lady coal miner who wanted strong arms to entwine her. So sad was her heart when there came not a spark to the lady so dark none could find her. But one day she saw a young tall man. And needed to find just one small plan to help him to see what a fine wife she'd be. After thinking, then off to the mall ran. Then coal miners filled up the big room as the loving vows blessed bride and groom. Men didn't see how they had missed her. But now waved goodbye to their own honeymoon. The Lady denied that she had planned, tricking him to want her heart and hand. She let it suffice he believed she was nice; thanking God for perfume and a small fan. |
