THE GREATEST TORTURE The greatest torture ever faced, Is that of speaking tears. For each small drop comes a pain, That hollows as it falls, And brings to mind that no one's there To hear them as they're called. But Of all the pain, Of all the tears, Of all the hurt, anger, and loss, Are the tears of never having, Of crying unwanted and lost. Oh what pains are taken, To call out to tears, That have no name, No shape, No form, That are looked upon As nothing more Than raindrops In a storm. ~ Angela Erin Burke ~ ------------------ "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |

Short, with a profound message. One I can relate to. ------------------ Shall I indulge in flights of fancy hampered by clipped wings? DreamEvil© |
