( I wrote this the other day as I watched the storm roll in, more of a prose type poem and strickly inpromptu) Your Storm I stand before the open window, raising my arms in the air; the coolness of the breeze, just before the rain comes, washes over my skin in waves. The air is charged with electric, so full of energy. The storm approaching in the distance teases me with it's nearness. A flash of light peaks above the tree tops and the soft roar of thunder follows. I wait, longing for the rain. Soft drops begin to fall from the now darkened sky; the breeze blows them gently against my bare flesh, their coolness sizzling on my hot skin. I feel your hand upon my shoulder, turning me into you. I glance whistfully into your eyes seeing a storm all your own reflected there... you pull me towards you and together we make thunder. ------------------ "Nobody has measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold" ~Zelda Fitzgerald |

Very good, I liked the direction of this poem, and the end was captivating. Great job. |
