You had us watching when you were three, On such a very sad day. You raised your hand, to salute your dad As he was carried away. You had us watching as a man, Walking by your sisters side. A time that should have been private for you, Telling your mother "Good-bye." We couldn't watch in later years, As you eluded the press. Your wedding, private, you had it your way, No one could even guess. But we've been watching the past few days, In hopes that they have found. Drifting and waiting for his rescue, The little boy we called John-John. (Our prayers are for the Kennedy family) |
