As the sun retires for the night behind the dark, lush forest, I bask beneath the full moon-light. I feel worn and tattered so. I am needing peace and quiet; I so much enjoy this time alone. I close my eyes, breathe in the cool, crisp air. Then somehow my peace is interrupted when I sense someone, some thing is there. Cautiously, to the left I leer. Blind in darkness, I strain to see. 'Tis a mighty wolf that's near. White and ashen, strong and lean... His coat is silver-like in the moon. His blue eyes catch the rays and gleam. My heart beats faster than a drum. Fear and curiousity stir in my stomach. He gracefully moves toward me and I run. I am running as fast as I can. I leer o'er my shoulder, the wolf is still there. And there is no one to help me, not one single man. My heart wants to stop as though there's nothing to fear. Might I stroke his ashen coat and bond? Could I befriend this canine dear? My mind would run forever, for this mighty wolf could bring me fatal sorrow, thus, my body tires more and more. My mouth opens to free a call of distress, though no sound is heard in the dead of the night. And to think I still long to love and caress... I'm still running and running- I'm running away... Yet, I'm not getting far as the wolf is still there. And I suddenly realize that he's here to stay. (this is actually a dream that I had...anyone care to tell me what it could mean?) ------------------ ©~onevoice~ "There are chords in the hearts of the most wreckless which cannot be touched without emotion." |

This one will go over big, dear. I know it. ------------------ Being paranoid is the biggest reason I'm still around to practice my paranoia. DreamEvil© |

I cannot tell you what the dream mean't, but the words were moving, and intense. I was in there running with you till the very end. Thanks for sharing your dream in a wonderfully creative manner. |

very nice imagery. I was out of breath at the end. Your use of leer bothered me a little, perhaps you should check it's meaning. Who knows, I could be wrong. Otherwise, it was good. Bravo |

I do understand what leer means...but thanx for your concern...my point in using to demonstrate that I was enjoying the fear. Thanks to all of you for your sweet praise! ~one voice~ |
