The delicate words that spill off your tongue, that you whisper to me in my dreams are heard like a symphony inside my heart. You turn my brooding in to chocolate romance with your kisses sweet like mother's milk. Simple moments with you I crave to last an eternity... Though I always must return to my sordid life... You listen to the stories I recount... I tell you how I light the flames and how he blows out the candles... I tell you how I long for recognition when he leaves me in the shadows. You listen to the times that I've been vexed, frustrated, and angered... I tell you how I've built the walls to keep from falling down. You listen as I share with you my lonesomeness that I make for myself -because it's easier in that fashion. But when I'm finished with my recounts; when your task of attending to me is almost through, I find my armour falling down in a pile at my feet. ------------------ ©~onevoice~ "There are chords in the hearts of the most wreckless which cannot be touched without emotion." Sweet relief, wonderful, dear. Remarkable. On a personal level, that's what I'm here for. Thank you for your gifts to me, verse and otherwise. ------------------ Being paranoid is the biggest reason I'm still around to practice my paranoia. DreamEvil© |

Great work. I enjoyed your descriptive lines, especially this one: "You turn my brooding in to chocolate romance with your kisses sweet like mother's milk." |
