The Beast

I'd like to tell you about a friend
He thinks he's bad, he thinks evil
I should say his not in the least
Although he's called DreamEvil
For all the teasing of me he's done
I like to call him the Beast

He found me on the net one night
He thought we had a lot in common
We both love animals and people
And then I told about this forum

He has a gentle loving soul
Although he tries to hide it
But one needs to read his poetry to understand
You surely will enjoy it

He compassion is unending
His love for others a joy to see
His heart and body scared by life
But He's always there for me

Most nights we share a love of verse
But argue back and forth we do
We talk of things, animals and life
And things we both know that are true

He finds it hard to believe he has friends
This is something new to him
I've tried to tell him that I'll always be his
Until the very end

I know of his life
Some of his pain and joys
His wife and children
And a few of his ploys
Varied lifestyles and Tattooing
This Beast will surely be my undoing

What more can I say of this man
He has been blessed by God above
Only one more thing I can think of
He is and shall always be
My friend
He has my love

And you say you have no imagination. Good verse, great subject (of course). My opinion may be suspect as it's loosely based on me.
