Feeling Lost and Alone

Feeling lost and alone
if only I could hear the telephone.
All I need is a minute of your time
if you can reach in and spare a dime.
Why yes, a quarter now is the fee
to let your strong fingers dial me.

Feeling lost and alone
I can hear the dull sounding dial tone.
Wanting to desperately call you,
but your on the tar paved road
carrying a mechanically heavy load.
All I can do is wait for you
as I patiently try to do.
You are a vital part of me,
and when long distance is the fee
my aching heart sends sadness
to my brain to react as loneliness.

Feeling lost and alone,
but now your tender voice I can clone.
Not a live version of the man I love,
but one that holds the raging tide,
till I can reunite with my everlasting love,
and from then on together we will ride.

Thank-You, and I hope you are not lonely for too long. The really hard part of him being gone this weekend was the tragedy the Kennedy's were going through, somehow it made me miss him even more.
