Silent rage a Dark monster feeding at my gut eating at my heart wearing me away to nothing Just take the pill just go to bed close your eyes fall fast asleep Escape the pain forget he's gone forget that you are all alone Green with jealousy and anger foot in mouth to save for shame just take the pill forget, forget forget that you're invisible forget that you're not wanted forget that you let yourself go no longer beautiful forget that you ever held love in your heart Go to sleep don't dream, just sleep don't cry, don't scream don't think numb yourself don't feel embrace the pain embrace the hatred just take the pill rust ingloriously and die. ©~onevoice~ ------------------ ~one voice~ *You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.* [This message has been edited by ~one voice~ (edited 07-15-99).] |

I thought this was truly is the epitome of a great poem..a piece of your heart, your soul whatever. I loved this one. I've been there, last summer but I was thinking about finding ANYTHING to ease my suffering...it wasn't pleasant. This is one of your best. But very hard to read as the emotions you write about are so close to the surface. It's a raw, angry piece..as it was meant to be but it's also sad and touching!  |
