He was born late that year, many years ago. She came along and lived next door, quite convienient it was so. As children they played teasingly, tough as kids may be. They fought and bickered to and fro, for everyone to see. In school they were the best of friends, he secretly admired. But she was busy having fun, never noticing his smiles. Then off to college they each went, going their seperate ways. She got married, he finished school, still sharing many days. And then the moment finally came, when she realized what he'd meant. She would open up her heart, but it was no longer innocent. And so they lived from day to day, each wondering if when. But the time just passed on by, And finally to an end. So I tell each one of you, if you share this happenstance, please open up yourself to them, don't ever loose the chance. |
