reflections does a mirror or a department store window ever make you stop and reflect? about past friends, acquaintances, or lovers? does the reflection of yourself bring you any regrets? regrets of too many things left unsaid or undone? we all have regrets, but some of us have more than others. what are your regrets, my friend? do you regret letting me go when i was one of the best things to come your way? or do you even realize what you lost? reflections - do you ever think of me? i think of you often. whenever i see even the smallest reminder of you. places where we had good times, cars that look like yours, bacgammon sets in shop windows. all things which cause pangs of pain in my heart and soul. reflections often bring pain, but sometimes, i think, if we didn't have pain we wouldn't know that we were alive. and life itself, is a reflection of many things which affect us in many ways. pain, beauty, joy, confusion, anger, hate, love, these are all reflections from the mirrors of our lives. what we allow to be reflected from our souls is up to us. we show only those things we want others to see. i wish that we were like those mirrors and windows and could reflect that which is truly to be seen. maybe then, we could consider ourselves beautiful much in the way we consider mirrors and windows to be beautiful. the light that they reflect is the beauty that we see, and inside everyone is a lovely light waiting to be reflected from our souls. reflections - beauty shining out from our souls. ~ celtic rose, 1989 ~ |
