In Dreams (another 1990 piece) I walked through a garden In the sweetest of dreams Where I felt such peace Until I heard the screams I ran to your side To see you were free And turned as I watched Everyone laugh at me So I awoke to the day Assured I would not Ever allow again myself By you to be caught I may go to you now In dreams only though But in real life I’ll pass For I’ve finally let go So soon even dreams Will be of someone new Because I’m over you babe And this time it’s true. ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |
