Goodnight Goodnight cold world I can play no more I’ve walked along your paths And found too often a closed door Goodnight bright sun The shadows finally win I’ve tried to bask in your glory But the warmth never reached within Goodnight sweet dream You are too unreal I’ve suffered too many disappointments And the scars—they will not heal Goodnight to my hope I’ve finally let go I cannot take the game If asked I will say no Goodnight dearest friends I’ll close my eyes forever Just realize if you can I lost this last endeavor. ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |
