(this is the true account of how distance destroyed my one and only happiness) 1 year Your lips pressed against me The tears stream down my face. Your hand slipped from mine And I saw you board the plane. I pressed my hand to the glass Waving goodbye-wishing I could go too. I can still remember the dispair And how much I already missed you. You left my life that day But I didn't know for how long I thought one year would bring us back But, the distance was too strong. Our love did not survive the long, hard year As we thought it would But, love would make everything better Or at least I thought it could. But, here I am one year later And you are the one that I miss. Remembering the anniversary Of our last and final kiss. ------------------ www.auburn.edu/~fergum1 ~*Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars*~ |

You have a way of inspiring me to tears. ------------------ I am not responsible for how you choose to interpret what I say. DreamEvil© |

Moonlight, this poem made me so sad. The reality that we can have anniversary's of heartache as well as joy. And I thought I was the only one. ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

...and you try not to remember the heartbreak anniversaries, but it never fails that I do. |
