Cruel Ending He spoke her name not when he was done He thought only of the battle won He left her shattered, broken, used Her mind more than a bit confused He sought his pleasure devoid of her pain Thinking only of his gain Finished quickly and left her there Feeling empty, sadness, bare She dressed slowly and dried her eyes Muffled all her empty cries Slipped the ring off her finger Her memory the only thing to linger She cheated, and now he knew But what was she supposed to do She gave her body to him once more Then watched as he walked out the door ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

Very sad.....but an excellent job, azblond. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "I will sail my vessel 'till the river runs dry, like a bird upon the wind, these waters are my sky..." Garth Brooks |

Very well written. A sad story told in good form. ------------------ "Nobody has measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold" ~Zelda Fitzgerald |
