TRUTH PATROL by DaveS Entrained in streams of memories, I know a message waits for me: Some meaning in the voyage gone I cannot put my finger on. Does life just lead us on to die, Without a clue or reason why We struggle so, without surcease, For joy and wealth and love and peace? It should be easier, somehow, To cross the bridge to here and now. Are dying embers all we get Of fires, once so brightly lit? Where are the lessons in this stew? Must I learn each one anew? Step off this cliff without my brain To find the ground is hard, again? The dream has come and gone once more; The answer won and lost, therefore. Begins this day of truth patrol To apprehend, but never hold. |

Wonderful message. The journey is too brief, there is much to learn, but the most important? Love! Thank you for the insightful poem, it truly touched my heart. |
