"Wake up, Miss Scarlett!" Her Mammy loudly said. "The roses are a-bloomin' child - So get outta that bed!" With hope in her heart And a sparkle in her eye, She dressed in her finest She'd see her beau that night. She refused the oysters Mammy served with her tea. Prissy's violin voice annoyed Always slightly off key. The Tarleton twins Came by around four. "An afternoon canoe ride?" They eagerly did implore. Scarlett refused them But in that short while, Trumpets in their heads Left there by her smile. As the sun bid adieu Cicada chorus came alive. She stood on Tara's balcony Waiting for Rhett to arrive. |

Gone with the Wind is my absolute favorite movie of all time (hey, what can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic) so I really enjoyed your poem. A job well done, you can rhyme well. |
