A Different Shore by DaveS The sense of how I used to be Still lingers in my mind. How sweet and sad those memories Which guide me now so differently; Downstream, relaxed, I glide, Preparing not what others see, Spontaneous, alive! And futures, yet to be revealed, Now seem to matter more. For joys that die and wounds which heal And people who refuse to feel Prepare a man to soar, Along with those whose face is real, Unto a diff'rent shore. |
