This is my first free verse...please tell me what you think. i miss my bestfriend i miss who he was who was that? or is he asking me the same i am exactly as he saw me (except for the reflection...he wanted the reflection) i disappointed my bestfriend he misses who i was who was that? it was a face....that's all my best friend disappointed me because he preached and preached how life and love were all about emotions but it was a lie... Emotions based on physical amenities but he's a dreamer...so its OK? now that the cage is stripped from its beauty only the bird remains (which is better the bird or the cage?) i know the answer...it came to me without a voice there was silence there was emptiness there was the truth we share something in common...my friend we both liked each other before which is worse to live for the inside or the outside i know the answer...it came to me in a tear it's my heart that cavities MY soul...not my eyes i miss my best friend i miss who he was who was that? armanaca, this is a good poem. I loved your analogy of the bird (the soul) and it's cage (appearances)...Which is better? Hhhmmmm....give me the beautiful wings! Thanks for posting this. |

Armanca...If you don't mind me asking what is this poem referring to? I enjoyed it though...i also like the bird-cage part. |

Jennyanydots...this poems is actually about a friendship made online. This person became my bestfriend of sorts (someone i confided in) I met him online and after a month or so i finally sent a picture...and well he decided we weren't such good friends after that.  |
