is it possible to have a Haiku/tanka/senyru forum just by itself?...i love these forms of poetry but sad to say, it's hard to find good stuff on them here....a separate forum will attract all Jap poetry lovers and provide a platform for discussion and learning  ") |

Hmm...maybe a forum for 'form' poetry? I've seen other sites that have this...what does everyone else think? |

I have to say that a Haiku forum is exactly what I was thinking was needed not 15 minutes ago. As for "Form" forums, I think that is too wide a subject, since practically all poetry has a form, except of course for free verse. Just my little thoughts Malcolm Coleman PS. Isn't it great, I'm only a junior member, but I was one of the first people on this site. First poem submitted at the very beginning of 1999. i love haiku/tanka and i suspect most poets agree with me....i feel having a haiku forum will serve as a meeting place for those interested in haiku/tanka to read and discuss each other's works and for those not so inclined to be inspired by those who are very good writers(u_gene for eg.)....i really think a haiku forum is long overdue ") |
