There should be a way for a user to cancel his/her account if they so choose. In the critique room the poem being reviewed should be diplayed so you can easily cut and paste from it while you critique.

If you want your account cancelled, then just do something really, really wrong.  It's more fun.

Just kidding.  I agree with that one.

If you want to see the poem you're critiquing, hit "topic review" in the reply window.

There's really no need to cancel an account. If a member is disgruntled and doesn't want to be here anymore then just stay away. It accomplishes exactly the same thing.

I can't copy and paste from topic review, may just be my computer.  Would be very helpful if I could.
I'm not sure what you mean by "cancel an account".  You mean like cancelling a bank account?  Which basically translates to the bank no longer allowing you to do business there.  Are you suggesting a member could ask that they be prevented from posting at PIP once their account is "closed"?  What if they change their mind and want to continue posting at some point?  Would Ron then have to "reopen" their account, allowing them access?
Why not if a member no longer wants to post at PIP...they just STOP POSTING.

Duncan, not sure what your cut-and-paste problem is but it surely is on your end. That operation is strictly a local Windows feature. If you can open the Topic Review window then you should be able to cut or copy from it.

And even if the window doesn't have a topic review, there's the ability to cut and paste directly from the initial post itself.

You need someone to come over and clean your windows, Dunc?

On my computer Topic review opens in a window but without the editing features (like copy and paste) other windows have at the top.  Don't know why...????

Right. You have to do it the "easy" way in Topic Review. Just highlight the text you want to copy then press Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard. Then you can position the cursor in your post and paste either by typing Ctrl-V or by using the Edit menu.

On a Windows machine, right-click works pretty well, too.
