Butterfly kisses upon your brow the only affection I can allow. As you lie there in eternal slumber do you feel my pain .. I wonder. I am forced to remain behind all alone.. my own way to find. A life we shared, two hearts as one I was your mom, you were my son. How can I be forced to live without the tender touch you give. Your sound of laughter in the air you and I ….the perfect pair. I thought I’d be the first to die this can’t be true, must be a lie. He was a child I scream out loud him dying first shouldn’t be allowed. Just one more kiss before I go and this one thing I hope you know. Mommy loves you little man, now go with Jesus, hold his hand. ps. I wrote this for a friend. Ohhhh Lucie...how this makes my heart ache for any mother who faces the death of her child. You've penned this with true beauty. Thank you. ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

Lucie: A good friend you were to give such a tribute. An honor was bestowed to you both. I bow to you and yours. |

Lucie, that was beautiful. A very dear friend of mine lost her son last month. He was 27 and expecting his first child. It's been very difficult for her and I'd love to share this poem with her. |

I can't imagine anything more agonizing than the loss of a child... regardless of that child's age. My mother was 49 when she died... and my grandmother had already buried her parents, siblings, and a husband. But I'll never forget her cry that she should have gone first. You wrote a beautiful poem for your friend, Lucie... well done. |

Lucie, this is a wonderful poem and you were a wonderful friend to write it. It's so sad, and it's unfair that these things happen. But you said it well. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

Lucie... I'm sitting here in tears now... A mother myself, I cannot fathom this pain. I feel for your friend immensely.... God Bless her and help her to move on... ------------------ ~onevoice~ "Odi et amo. Quare id faciam, fortasse requiris. Nescio, sed fieri sentio et excrucior." |

Lucie, Your mood is somber with sorrow. A tear, a frown, a sad embrace. I would that you tomorrow. Place a smile upon your face. A wonderful poem. |

Lucie...this brought tears to my eyes. I can not imagine how it must feel to watch your child die. What a nice thing to write for your friend and I'm sure it expressed her feeling quite well. ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |
