I linger there upon your shore And long to linger...evermore And gaze...forever...at your sea -Such captivating majesty. Your rolling waves crash on the rocks And dance about your weathered docks; Gulls swoop and soar above each crest Inviting me to dream...to rest. Your 'Lovely Ladies' line each street And charm the hearts of all they meet And bid them graciously to stay; Abide beside the ocean spray. I long to gaze upon your sea -Such captivating majesty; Upon your shore I long to stay Forever...always...fair Cape May. ------------------ Denise |

You have written about my favorite of God's creations, and I could stay at a place like this forever if destiny begged me to. Beautifully written, thanks for taking me away for the moment. ------------------ Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent. |

Thanks Lost Dreamer. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I don't think there is any spot on earth as lovely as the seaside. Thanks for reading and commenting! , ------------------ Denise |

You have described it well, D. Made me want to go visit Cape May. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

Thanks, Elizabeth! By the way, the best time to go is in late fall after the crowds go away. So peaceful!! ------------------ Denise |

Again Denise, wonderful, you lure me to the sea. Can't wait to go there on hols in 3 weeks. We are kindreds when it comes to the sea and it's abounds. ------------------ A hero is a man who does what he can. ~Isis~ (The Fragile Rose) |

Thank you, Isis, for reading and commenting! It is always appreciated! I don't know what it is about the sea, but it pulls me to it! Hopefully, one of these weekends (before it starts snowing, I hope!) I'll get there again! ------------------ Denise |
