She gave me her hand I could not carpet the world, So I made her slippers. In the spring when the buds broke We passed the scented hours, Among the fragrant flowers And saved its revelry for winter. Nor could I stop the frost, So I built her a house. Kept her warm by the fire. When the snow flew about, We passed the warming hours, In dreams of revelry. The sun and moon and stars lit our Zen, Our home on the left side of Eden. |

This is too good to fade away. Back up front, you! |

Another great one Seymour! This is so sweet-you do all you can, and the one who really loves you will accept it...I love it. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

The gift of unselfish love...there is none better. You express it beautifully ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

So beautiful! "I could not carpet the world, so I made her slippers." I love that, it speaks of a love so unselfish, so true. |
