DEAN Night falls with such silence As shadows fall around me In the presence of loneness and fear You make your entrance I am immediately taken with you Who are you Why did you enter my space How long will you stay in my world A gentle hello is spoken Ahhh, this silence is broken But, I hesitate, for a moment My thoughts and my lips are silent So quickly, you speak again “Are you there”? Should I return this entrance? Should I run? Without thought I speak “Hi” That felt so good A mutter of such a simple word Is this a beginning? Now as the days, weeks and months have past I feel a calm, a sense that always keeps you close to me A part of my soul has joined you and it is this part of me you hold tightly In our future, there is brightness and tranquility Our days are forever Our nights filled with passion For in this union There is a rock, my Dean And a dreamer, his Newt To the Angel who united us Thank you! |
