The Rain Drop A moment's rap, a moment's tap, A moment's snap, a moment's clap, A moment's reign, a moment's wane, A moment's stain, a moment's rain. Swiftly falling through the air, Splashing o'er the earth somewhere, Making sounds of different strain, All are echoes of the rain. Striking heavy, Striking light, Like a lance, of riding knight, Charging down on old terrain, Pounding echoes of the rain. In the rhythm of the sound, Sounds the life of earths rebound. Speaking whispers and refrain, In the echoes of the rain. A moment's sound, a moment's sight, a moment's stain, a moment's light A moment's life, a moment lain, And then the echoes of the rain. |

Let there be rain to grow the grain. Let there be rain to nourish the brain. Let there be rain with some refrain. Let there be rain cause I've been prayin Let there be rain upon the arid terrain. Great job! Your poem made me think how much we need rain here, and how delightful it would be to get a good dose about now. |

Seymour, I love this piece! I love rain! This poem, for some reason, reminded me of that song, "April Showers," from the movie, "Bambi!" The happiness of rain or something... hehehe Never mind my musings... I'm rambling... Excellent work!!! ![]() ------------------ ~onevoice~ "Odi et amo. Quare id faciam, fortasse requiris.
