I've been the wife and shed the tears I've been with you for many years I've been the one to struggle through Many nights spent without you I've been the one to sit and wait I've been the one who tried to hate I've been alone and I've been blue Wondering what to do with you I've been ashamed and tried to hide I've been beat, but I've got my pride I've been down, but I'm not out Now its time for a turn about I've been alone now long enough I've decided not to take your stuff I've taken all you had to give Now it's my turn to try and live I've sat and watched you at this game I've learned well, you had no shame I'm ready now to make my move Get out of here and find my groove I thank you for all I could learn I learned a lot, now it's my turn I won't look back with any regret That's one thing that you can bet! |
