Coping, Coping Oh, little ray of sunshine, little ray of hope shine down upon me now, allow me now to cope. Oh little ray, little ray, would warmth and blessings fall when I think of the darkness, in my soul and all. I was once a ray of sunshine, I made each day complete I kept giving and giving more, making each day replete until the day it ended, and my sunshine was no more oh, little ray of sunshine, come knocking at my door. I don’t think I can tell you how the feelings of love are gone, all I know is my ray of sunshine has been out far, far too long; the darkness envelopes me, the fear, the bleak, the chill ~ will there ever be sun again? I don’t think so, but still, there is the very slightest of glimmering hope I can feel somewhere hiding within the very depth of me, it’s real. Oh little ray of sunshine, littlest ray of shining hope shine upon this poor soul now, allow it ever to cope. 9 September, 1999 ©KRJ ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

You are so special Sunshine. I printed this piece as I found myself wiping a tear. Beautifully done! I really needed this today. I hope it gave you a BIG lift to share it. ------------------ Julie ------------------------- Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Thank you all! Don't worry...sometimes we post fiction, you know! My "ray" is most always out and about... so grow, everyone! |
