Shrubs, the colors are muted at night. All the colors of my life don't even rate as pastels, red roses seem black, white mums seem gray. Gone are the colors that once brought delight. There is beauty in my garden still, not seen by the eye. The rustling of leaves, heady perfume, gentle breeze Like a lover's sigh. The rich smell of loam from a fertile mind, even the weeds contribute to the grace, wild and tangled and filled with many needs. I sit by the sundial, useless thing, waiting for the clouds to break, and with them bring the only thing to make my heart ache. From over the lake, Moonlight streams, brightening my garden with her glow. All the colors seem to bleed and flow Into my dreams you know. Tonight though, my Moonlight causes me fright. There is a dimness, a darkening of her light. For all she has given me, it is only right, I will take her dancing in my garden tonight. ©1999 DreamEvil ------------------ Life is pain is poetry, at least I'll be productive. DreamEvil© |
