Listening to every heart

Do Dreams Really Die?

What is a dream, if not hope incarnate?
It comes to us, again and again
even when we cannot relate
and all we wonder is if the pain,
so real, will leave, and when.

A dream scorned, ridiculed, beaten down
underneath scowls or frightening frowns.

What was my dream, do I even remember?
It comes to me, again and again,
even when I cannot relate
and I wonder if the pain,
so real, will leave, and when.

Was it hope that brought forth my dreams?
Will I ever believe in hope again?

What was your dream, do you even remember?
Does it ever come to you, again and again,
even when you cannot relate
and you wonder if the pain,
so real, will leave, and when.

Dare we? Dare you? Dare I? Dare we hope
to learn, hope to try, hope to dream again?

I will.

Sunshine,
Enjoyed the read and the repeats. I think I would leave off the "I will." Just leave the
question float.

Thanks for the repost sunshine.

Yes, dreams are the reflections of our subconscious desires..Most of which we dare not hope..!

Like Seymour said, the last 2 lines speak for themselves just as they are..
