I feel a mother's love, I feel the gentle waves caress my toes, I feel the tidal pull from the moon up above, I feel the wind as it blows. What is my purpose? Daughter, Mother, Sister, Friend? Cos I still feel this yearning, this longing, And sometimes it feels like it'll never end. The wildness of a summer storm, The early morning grass kissed by the dew, The magic of sunrise at dawn, All serve to remind me of you. I cherish these gifts daily I use them as Talismen When all else fails me These wild wonders remind me of you. I don't like living this way But what else can I do? Just making do bides the time Until I'm with you. So, all I have is Talismen They help me to get through, I'll have these reminders, Until I have you. ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |

Isis, I liked this! I noticed you are very good at painting pictures with your poetry. To the TOP. ------------------ Julie ------------------------- Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Marianne Williamson |

Isis, I really enjoyed reading this piece! I, too, have felt this longing that you speak of too many times! Great work! ------------------ ~onevoice~ "She looked at her life like lines, never-ending, constantly forming, reforming and bending." |
