Each day I fight a daily battle Which fills me with exhaust, We fight of words that seem so prattle Yet each one has a cost. I try each day to look at me To see what she means at times "Selfish and Worthless" is to be Her favorite choice of rhymes. Is this true, this way I act? Or is it something worse, Maybe something that I lacked Maybe one day it will immerse. I will continue to fight day by day Even if I will never gain Love and authority in everything I say. |

Hmmmm... I've read it several times and me thinks a battle between mother and daughter. Yes? I can see such words relating to the struggle my wife has with her own mother... never quite accepting the fullness of her daughters maturity into womanhood, wife and mother. At least that's how I read it. By the way, harsh title. If this is a glimpse of your own world, I wish you the best in your struggles. |

Andrew You hit the nail right on the nose. That IS who it's about...a daily struggle I go with. I'm slowly learning that maybe she's the one that's being selfish but it still hurts. Verbal abuse at times can be worse than physical, especially if it is a daily thing. Thank you so very much for you reply. Oh and tell your wife to keep her head up. |

Yep! That mental stuff can be a real kicker. Especially when they've got no clue what they're doing and say its all your fault for the way you are. True, you've got to claim responsibility for yourself and your actions but it makes it all that much easier to live a good life when somebody else believes in you, trusts in you, and loves you. Luckily, my wife has figured out the truth of things and my daughters and I are a constant reminder of how wonderful she is. If it weren't for her and all she's provided in my life, I'd have little to be thankful for. I hope someday your mother will find the means to be thankful for you as well. My best to you. |

As a daughter I can relate Sometimes my mother has no faith in me, and from a mother that hurts but we are both strong enough to rely on ourselves and believe in ourselves so keep your eyes on the stars.. and Reach |

It's not really that she has no faith in me but she is just disappointed in everything I do. Even if I do something wonderful she says she's disappointed in me...over stupid stuff. And it's always a dailt struggle with her. But thank you everyone for your comment.s |
