Written for Pufalove

Love me or love me not, my new philosophy.
If you don’t like the way I look, then just don’t look at me.
Father time has had a hand in my new look you see
and mother nature wasn’t kind, hit me with gravity.

But the hand that really mattered, is the one that touched my soul
and my body is a temple.. getting God there is my goal.
If your looking at the building and not the foundation at its base.
Then continue in your search my friend.. my temple’s not your place.

Another great one Lucie, you write so well the words seem to flow so easy.

Got any tips for me?

------------------
Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.

Well Craig.. I think in verse..haha.. if someone makes a statement or a comment I just build from there. My friend Pufalove made that comment this morning.. Love me or Love me not.... It took me about 10 min. to write this poem.. some of my poetry shows it only took me a few min, but others, I'm proud to say come from my heart so no matter how long they are or how long they took.. they have feeling! Each is a part of me.. the same as each poem you write is a part of you. a part that I enjoy I might add!

You hit the nail on the head...see what I get for mentioning that I have "just a few sagging areas"! hahahaha...I love it! You never cease to amaze me...cool! I thank God every day for that foundation, too.

ps: One day I will shock you with a come back and maybe even a poem.
