(A dedication to my mom who has always been there for me.)

Remember me when your down n' out.
Stuck at home - ready to shout.
On Saturday night feelin' lonely,
Eating a sandwich made of baloney.

Remember me when your heart's in-two.
Our times together - I know are too few.
Recall our time when life was fair,
when children were young and little to care.

Remember me when the memories flood,
Knowing I will always be your blood.
For I am made just like you,
my mommy to you - I am forever due.

Remember me when life makes you mad,
It wasn't long ago n' things weren't so bad.
I made you laugh till you cried,
holding your belly and suddenly sighed.

Remember me in your final hour,
Sweet lil' me who always bought you a flower.
It's with you I long to be,
so close your eyes and Remember Me.

Very nice tribute to your mother...I know I always find it hard to say how much I care for my mother...this is a perfect way to express those feelings.

Beautifully done poem.

Also let me welcome you to the forums. I look forward to more of your work.
