My summer Adventure

I went on an adventure this summer
But not to a different country or planet
Just a little north of here
To a placed called Ithaca, New York
On the campus of Cornell University
I was worried about not fitting in when I got there
However, everyone made feel at home and relaxed
In addition, the people I met were the best
I meet a swing dancer, a trumpet player, a mother, a Colombian, an equestrian, a field hockey player, and tennis player
One was not only the mother of the group but also the angel
I do not know what we would have done without here
One was a little krazi like me and we had hair to match
One's strength was so amazing in her time of crisis
That I think because of we are all stronger people
One always slept in and missed breakfast.
She said could you bring me a bagel
One liked to swing dance and spent the beginning half of the trip homesick
Then when she started enjoying herself it was time to go home
One always wanted to ride horses
One's computer kept braking and she stressed about everything
However, no matter how different we are
In the short time we have know each other
We have become the best of friends
But one thing that I learned on my adventure this summer
Is that no matter what you do or where you go always be yourself?
No matter how wacky that may be
And wherever I may go in my life
I will always look back on this summer and say I regret not one thing I did
Because I learned a lot and grew into the person, I am today

Dedicated to all the friends I made this summer and at Cornell you have all taught me something. I miss you all a great deal .Hope to see you all very soon
