Who are you Lord, in this disguise? What power do You wield? Where is my part in this new act? What will I find revealed? O Divine Enchantress Thy look doth fix my gaze And holds it fast upon You While my poise it slays. Is this charm a passing thing? Will I 'morrow see You same? Or, perhaps, You, as myself Will guide me through Your flame. No doubt You've subdued many Both weak and strong alike And given pleasure beyond compare But, Lord, what is Your price? When You waken from Your role Will You like what You see? When I awaken from Your role Will I still be me? Be sweet my Lord While acting out this part Be gentle my Lord And please don't break my heart. For 'tho, my Lord, in many ways You've made me well and strong When You decide You want to sing Who can resist Your song? All things in time, You've told me Lord In this, Thy grand parade And that which is alluring now Is surely doomed to fade. And so, my Lord, although it's true I love Your new disguise As before You've always done Keep my perspective wise. ------------------ lenny |
