I am alone before the cold slick window open in the rain. I smell the wet roads and hear the poke-tapping of the shower through the screen. Not a peaceful sound but a desolate depressing noise that dampens not only the grass but my spirits. A faint gray light sheens on my face through the dim square of the window in the cloudy darkness of the day. All is cold and isolated as my heart, as the day, is buzzing dully. -----What?! A two-in-one?!----- -liquid sorrow- (a haiku) shine liquid sorrow drop from thick tangled eyelash in painful release love to all,Melissa! |

I absolutely love the haiku! ------------------ It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley Visit my poetry website: www.geocities.com/Paris/Musee/9954/ |
