I've never known love,
I'm as pure as a dove.

Never felt a man's touch,
So how can I miss it so much?

You've never held me tight,
Though somehow I know it would feel so right.

If I were there with you tonight,
Could you make everything alright?

Can you touch me deep inside,
Teach me what I've never tried?

Can you show me what I've missed?
Oh, all these things I've wished!

Can you show me love,
Raise my heart above,

All the pain I felt inside,
All the times somebody lied?

Make me feel as though,
You're no ordinary joe,

When times get rough you won't go,
These things I need to know.

My life is not complete,
I need this more with every heartbeat.

I need to feel the heat,
I want to listen to the pounding of your
heartbeat.

Quite touching in deed! But don't get in any rush! If what you state is true, keep yourself as that dove till someone truly loves you!

Well I guess I'm not pushing my luck...LOL...I got some replies.

Dove: What I say is very true...and I am waiting...sometimes impatiently...but still waiting all the same. Love is something very important to me, as all will see if the read my poetry.

Thank you for your opinions and praise.

A very touching poem ... I hope that someone loves you dearly ... appreciates you for who you are and can bring you a happiness you can share ...

Thank you for your kind words they are greatly apperciated.

Hoot: Yes it's understood...waiting is what's hard though...waiting is something I'm rather used too...pateints I have learned in my years on earth...

Traveler: I also hope I can find someone who will accept me for who and what I am...that is the most important thing.
