(ain't easy to put a twist on a villanelle)

Let me tell you about my Maryanne
Not at all like the shrew
Who left me for another man.

She made my life so damned grand
It nearly broke my heart in two.
Let me tell you about my Maryanne.

There were no castles made of sand,
Not like the other, so untrue,
Who left me for another man.

She considered me the only man
With whom she'd like to go Life through
Let me tell you about my Maryanne.

She thrilled me when she touched my hand
Not so the other that I rue
Who left me for another man.

What's that? You don't quite understand?
I guess you're right. I can't fool you.
Let me tell you about my Maryanne
Who left me for another man.

Very good Balladeer! I wouldn't have recognized this type had you not said what it was. Not because of you, but because of my own ignorance. I think it's real good.

A welcome home in order?

Balladeer, I go with WhtDove, I too would not have recognized this type. I really enjoyed it, it was lovely yet sad

Not home, but with laptop in working condition and, with the exception of tomorrow (Sunday) when I'll be traveling, I'm back on course. Looking forward to 6 days in North Carolina with nothing to do but play golf and write poetry. Toerag and DreamEvil may commence to quake with fear at any time, HEHE

Okay...I feel rather stupid at times here. I just write , you guys practice all these formats I know nothing about and do a heck of a job with them I might add.
