So Young

So young.
Only a teen-ager.
What an inspiration you were to me!
You knew nothing of hate.
Nothing of sorrow.
Only of love and happiness.
You meant so much to me.

So young.
So eager.
Why did you have to leave so early?
But, I'm sure you're up in "HEAVEN", looking over me.
I just wish I could see you.

So young.
So happy and care-free.
So loving.
That was who you were.
And that is the way you will
forever remain in my heart.

.......Rest in Peace.......
I wrote this poem in remembrance to three of my close friends who were recently killed in car wrecks. May they all be remembered in thier friends' and family's hearts.

This is sad in its way but also uplifting to know they are still there watching over you. Very nice tribute to friends now gone but not forgotten

Thank you. I have lost many friends in the past year, too many infact. I'm not but fifteen, and it's hard to deal with your friends dying. Especially when it's a very close friend. I had an ex-boyfriend who got killed last February, a close friend who got killed in July, another close friend who got killed last Tuesday, and my very first crush got killed in January. They were all due to car wrecks. Pain endure in this way never really leaves you alone. It tends to haunt you forever. My tears still fall silently for them every night. I have found poetry to be my only "escape" from this pain. Thank you so much for responding. I appreciate it very much.
