The Soul That Weeps I searched my heart For the answers I needed. I searched deep within my soul. My hands were left wet with the tears that I bled. The hurt lay upon my every essence. Like the weight of the shackle that Clinched the hoof of the wild mustang- Who lies trapped in the midwinter snow. I lay still with fear- The horse lay still with fear- What is my fear? What is his fear? My fear is of the unknown- His fear is of the unknown- Would I be set free? Would he be set free? Would we feel the touch of a tender Loving soul ever again? The new fallen snow covers the ground And blankets the horse as he sleeps. Just as my tears blanket the face Of this soul...as it weeps. |
