My Suit Of Armor (Sequel) I built my suit of armor Crafted very well Hid myself from all to see Inside my metal shell But in your wishful searching You found a simple flaw A imperfection on my part That no one else saw My armor unpenetratable Or so I once had thought You began to work your way into Even though I fought You started with the faceshield Took me by surprise Loosed my tears, bared my face To look into my eyes Next my arms so tightly bound You unwrapped and set them free Teaching me to hold again By holding on to me The legs that I had shackled So I could walk no more You unbound and led the way To new worlds that we'd explore Last there came the breast plate The strongest from the start But you worked your way into its steel And touched my very heart Now I stand before you My armor at my feet You’ve won this battle I’ll admit But I don’t claim defeat Yes, in a pile the armor lays Reflected in your light Its metal strong, now is dulled But I am shining bright To Tyson, always my inspiration Hugs ![]() ------------------ Some people come into our lives and quickly go. If you haven't yet read "My Suit Of Armour" that I just reposted, please do so, as this will make far more sense, although I think it can stand on its own Thanks ![]() Ruth ------------------ Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Beautiful Ruth! Sigh, another bite. It appears that the bug spray needs to be sentback to the manufacturer. Apparently it is not working at all! I'd ask for a refund... but think that I should pay them instead!Well written Ruth! And quite touching! |

Hi Ruth, What do I say to this except thank you? To know I inspire you in this way does more than I can possibly say. You didn't skip a beat with these two poems...as if you wrote them in the same day. I'm glad your sequel was as good, or even better, certainly in mood, than the first. Talk to you soon, Ruth. Bye. Excellent Sequel... "Now I stand before you My armor at my feet You’ve won this battle I’ll admit But I don’t claim defeat Yes, in a pile the armor lays Reflected in your light Its metal strong, now is dulled But I am shining bright " What better end to the narrative? So glad you don't need the armor any longer! :-) |

Have tried skeleton keys-no luck.Am considering some kind of explosive approach which would blow off all the doors but not damage the rooms themselves.Must find the proper mixture so as to minimize potential fire hazards and not hurt the cat. P.S.-this is how I think when I've had too much coffee. Yer buddy, Paul ------------------ |
