Another View

Come. Walk with me for a while
You will be amazed at what you see
Place your feet inside my shoes
Am I not, the one you wanted to be
Take a glance, through these eyes of mine
Can you feel what it is you see
Are you sure you still want to be me

Feel the pleasure. Feel the pain
Only I can set you free
Feel the hate. Feel the sorrow
Only I can set you free
This is my anger, this is my suffering
Do you like what it is you see?
Are you sure, it is me that you want to be?

Come. Walk with me for a while
You will be amazed at what you see
Things aren't as they appear to be
Except when they are viewed by me.

Whoa! That was great, I can almost directly relate. Everyone says how great of a runner i am and how they all wish they could be like me, they dont understand the stress and pressure i have to stand up to. its crazy, i have to be rock solid otherwise everything comes tumbling down...its so hard. great writing

I liked this, it is something I often say, each of us is different, and a walk in someone elses shoes, would open an eye and a mind for sure

Welcome! This is the first poem of yours I've read and I must say I'm impressed! I liked this one a lot - poetry with a moral to the story! I look forward to reading more from you.
