Commonalities

The enigma of words still haunts me.
The puzzle of subjective meanings.
What rings sharp for one, dulls another.
Satisfying both is most difficult.
Commonalities are hard to come by.

The word that stirs and rings ones emotions
And pulls the plugs of doubt and question
Questions our reach of greater or lesser?
Just choosing the wise or thoughtful choice.
Wise and thoughtful are hard to come by.

I like rhyme it plays like a harp it lulls,
It serenades soft sounds on the ear
And it lays its sooth on the somber soul.
Singing like some mother's lullaby and
Good lullabies they are hard to come by.

It impresses like few with cleverness.
Some bold, some cleaver and some unique.
Just to touch the ambrosia of delight
And place the cool hand of its amnesty.
Delight and amnesty are hard come by.

Commonality holds my parity
It is something I try to achieve and
Could I acquire the sagacity,
I could conquer the hard of come by.
I could conquer Commonality.
