Acrostic is really such a pain,
Coming up with words that rhyme,
Really, it's not essential and
Often takes much time
So if you have the will power
To try "Acrostic" schtuff
It'll take at least an hour
Cuz this Acrostic Schtuff Is Tough!

(For Craig....that did a superb job)

Toerag: It may be tough... but you did it well! *G* And it's a great tribute to Craig... who did indeed do a good job (once I realized he wasn't trying to start WW III!) *G*

Froggie: Hop on in here more often... Auntie has missed you!

Toe...you sure its not the "pain" of the surgery you are feeling and the not the pain of trying to write? You always had a gif for gab (words) did they take that part out? LOL...I don't care what you write, I'm gonna read it and rejoice you are feeling like writing and still kicking back at life!
Keep up the good work!

Toerag,
Rhyming, rhyming everywhere
And not a drop to share.
I enjoy your clever ink
And that I say with a wink.

To My Friend Toe

You are really one swell guy.
Of all those here, I rate you high.
Uplifting to the soul, you are
Shining like a brilliant star!
Up until the very end
Clearly you're a perfect blend..
Kindred soul and faithful friend!

Well there Toe, it was a good Acrostic! And Balladeer I am surprised, that was heartfelt! I so often see the words of teasin that it took me for a loop! Nice one Toe!

Toe: And just about the time I was going to ask how much you'd paid 'Deer for that tribute, his true nature was revealed. *G*

Hey, suthern, WhtDove.... ummm.... an acrostic is... well read this like an acrostic and you may want to edit your comments.

And Mr. T, I don't know you but you have written a cute poem. I'm going to write one for you.

What’s an Acrostic? (doh)

This form of poetry looks like fun, I might just give it a try ! I couldn’t even come close to matching the style and skill of this one but, given a little practice, I may be able to produce a half decent poem (for a change).

Thanks for the acknowledgment, from someone as good as you it is worth more than money ( although donations would also be gratefully accepted ).

Craig...surely you jest my friend.....I'm justa clown....I have no idea of what it takes to be a true poet such as yourself, Ron, Nan, Balladeer and many of the others. I love to play, make people smile, and feel sorry for myself....and the only way I can get out of feeling sorry for myself or forget my "woes" is to try make others laugh....I wish I had the talent you all have!!!!!!

Yunno?...I can start a poem....try to be real serious for once...and the devil just kinda takes over?...I wish my brain would let me just try something completely, no puns, no BS, no silliness, no nuthin 'cept being serious sometime...but I start to write something, try to be serious...and it all goes to hell on a bobsled?....Oh well, must be LongJohn's influence on me....ya think?

I think your just as good as me (this could be a bad thing), you play a clown, I play a fool. My insistence that I can’t write is used as a shield, if someone says I can’t write it’s easier if I have already said it. It means that either everybody is in agreement with me, or telling me I’m wrong but for the right reasons, if you get my drift.

( anyone who understands this please e-mail me and let me know what I said, my head hurts )

Craig...these are good drugs....right?....LOL....Yanno...just think of the attention we can get from saying we really suck as poets...then we get all that sympathy from the ladies?....Yep, we got our "schtuff" together....right?

Toe: Cool thinggie. Sorry, but I'm not buying the bad poet schtick from either you or Craig. And I think the ladies are on to your schemes.

Toe: You're absolutely right to blame the sailor... I know how pure of mind and heart you really are... and how he strives to corrupt you! *G*

Craig, what you said was "Heads I win, tails you lose"
I love this acrostic stuff, I'm going to have to try it sometime. Toerag, it's so good to see you back! And I'm glad they didn't amputate your funny bone.
