You are slipping away. A little leaves each day. The harder I try to connect; The more you seem to forget. You just sit and stare. We have very little to share. I wonder how long it will be Before you can’t recognize me. I have my precious memories. But what you recall is a mystery. We have a wonderful history. But we can only share your misery. You are made to bear, So I will stay and share. I mourn your present state, Because Alzheimer’s is your fate. |

This speaks to my heart...my grandmother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It is devastating to see her lose all of our happy memories. Thank you for posting this.... ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
