There are many things that make me glad, Like the hearty laughter of a little lad. The frolicking awkwardness of a puppy at play, And the glow of sunshine at the start of the day. To see grass and flowers covered with dew, Mountainous white clouds in a sky of blue, A walk on a pillow of new fallen snow, Soft falling rain that makes flowers grow. For my children to grow strong and tall, The good times past that I recall, Sitting quietly alone remembering past joys, And "Hi Granddaddy" from three fine boys. |

Glimpses of your Dad help explain how his son turned into such a fine human being. *S* This is lovely... immense enjoyment in life's simple pleasures... thanks for sharing this with us, Toe!! |

Lovely poem from a lovely man. He must have been a fine and caring person. So lovely you have these poems to pass on to others and cherish for yourself. Thanks for sharing the gem with us..:.. ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |

This is why I enjoy tangling with you. Not because you're a worthless, wretched old man who should be locked away but because your're a good man with a heart of gold who just acts like a worthless, wretched old man who should be locked away. Wonderful sentiments, friend Toe. |

Well, now....here you are expressing such warmth and tenderness and I just finished reading a complete different side of you. Wonderful, Toe....You are a rarity, indeed. |
