I like to use todays topics to read through Pip. But after I have replied to a post, the balladeer button takes me back not to todays topics, but the main forum that the post I was replying to was in. Is it possible the balladeer button could take me back to todays topics or not? It would save me having to go back to todays topics all the time. Dawn |

I believe the original intent of the Balladeer button was to take you back to the page you were originally on. For example, and of course depending on how you have your page length set, if you are on, say, page 4, and want to read several poems on that page, but reply as well, you don't want to pop back to page 1, so you click "Balladeer" and should remain on the page you were originally viewing. But bugs creep in now and then, so perhaps Ron's having some problems. He'll check into this "soon!" |

Thank you, Dawn ... I thought of that too. I like to use the Today's Topics to check on poetry also ... but a reply from the Today's Topics does take you away from that feature ... and it is cumbersome to reload it each time. Maybe Ron can figure out a way to flip us back to the Today's Topic page after we've replied to something there. Unfortunately, the Balladeer button was only designed to work with forum listings. Very short sighted of me, I know, because we can now access poems from a lot of different places (Today's Topics, Personal Library, Find Poems, Smart Search, just to name a few). Maybe in the next iteration of the software I can find a way to make Balladeer a bit more generic, but it will take pretty much a major rewrite to get to that point. In the meantime, I've made a slight change to the Today's Topics screen that might help. It might also, unfortunately, be very confusing for some people. So, rather than describe it, I'm going to just let people find it and see what kind of confusion it causes. Let me know what you think… |

I was much happier without this new "feature," Ron..... if you want to return to today's topics, the "today's topics" button is always at the top of the screen. It is easy to hit it again and it acts just like Balladeer. They call me a madman, but I'm not mad at anyone. |

Ron~ THANK YOU ! To have the topic open in a new window is soooooo easy~  When done - Poof ! Back to Today's Topics without having to wait for the loading process again ! Only ONE observation ... I love the new feature. It will come in handy right after midnight also, when I previously had to hit today's topics and then yesterday's topics. Allan---I noticed that if you use the pop up window to hit today's topics, the pop up features seems disabled. So you can still enjoy PIP the way you previously did. |
